Shipping
All shipments are dispatched only after receipt of payment by us and shipments are at buyers risks and cost. If an item is not in stock upon receipt of an order, you the customer will be notified by email. Crossed Swords Fencing Equipment will determine if a partial shipment of items in stock will be made, or tems held until all items are available for a single shipment.
Shipping times displayed are nominal and typical for a broad area of Canada, however, shipments to the Atlantic provinces, Nunavut and the Yukon typically take longer and this is outside of our control. Crossed Swords Fencing Equipment cannot be held liable for delays caused by the shipper for any reason. While Crossed Swords Fencing Equipment endeavours to meet shipping preferences of customers, Crossed Swords Fencing Equipment cannot be held responsible for a delivery not meeting a specific delivery date for the customer.
We ship to any address in Canada or the United States. Outside of Canada or the United States, please contact us before ordering. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
When you place an order, we will choose the carrier based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose.
Packing
To be environment friendly, we re-use shipping materials whenever possible, and we recycle what we do not re-use. We encourage our customers to do the same.
Carriers and Costs
Crossed Swords Fencing Equipment normally uses Canada Post or FedEx as the carrier for deliveries within North America. Other carriers may be engaged at our discretion.
We use Fixed shipping charges for Canada and the USA, and at cost shipping outside of North America.
Canada Shipping Costs:
Shipping costs below are for a guideline only. Actual shipping costs in the shopping cart, if different from below, shall prevail and replace the costs shown below.
$ 4.49 Small Parts (eg points, pads, blade wires) - Envelope Sized (Max. 2cm thick) - No tracking or Insurance
$ 14.95 Typically 3-5 days, although Atlantic Canada and the North take longer
$ 32.50 Typically 2-4 days, although Atlantic Canada and the North take longer
$ 150 Overnight to most destinations in Canada, we will let you know if this cannot be met.
USA Shipping Costs (in $Cdn):
$ 30 Small Packet 200g or less (eg points, pads, blade wires) - Envelope Sized - Tracked and Insured
$ 45 Regular Shipping, delivery times based on location - Tracked and Insured
Priority By quote, depending upon order size and location.
International Shipping: At cost
Shipping Days: Packages are shipped Monday to Friday with weekday delivery. Weekend shipping or delivery incurs additional charges which wll be passed along to our customer
Additional Shipping Charges: Additional costs charged to us by the carrier for changes to the original shipping information, will be billed to the customer at the carrier rates plus a 10% service fee.
Out of Stock Items
While in most cases, Crossed Swords Fencing Equipment is able to fulfill your order from in-stock inventory, this is not always possible. Not all items are retained in inventory and at times, we sell out of any given item or size. Customers will be notified by email if an item is out of stock, with an estimated delivery time for the order. Crossed Swords Fencing Equipment reserves the right to partially ship an order, however, this is a discretionary decision.
Special Order Items
For non-stock items, Crossed Swords Fencing Equipment will order these items as a 'special purchase' from the supplier and will provide the customer with an estimated shipping date from Crossed Swords Fencing Equipment to them, the customer. Crossed Swords Fencing Equipment cannot be held liable for items shipping outside of the estimated shipping date for the order as inbound international shipment times are variable and stock levels of our suppliers are beyond our control.
Special Order items are not returnable or refundable.
Returns Policy
You may return most new, unused items with their original packaging within 15 days of delivery for exchange or refund. Crossed Swords Fencing Equipment reserves the right to charge a re-stocking fee of up to 20% of the returned item(s) initial cost(s). Shipping costs for the return are the customers responsibility.
If an item was shipped to you in error as determined by Crossed Swords Fencing Equipment, we will pay the return shipping costs and the costs of shipping the correct item to you, the customer.
Any items showing any signs of use or damage will not be accepted for refund or exchange.
Any evidence of damage caused by return shipping will void any claims against Crossed Swords Fencing Equipment for refund or exchange. You are encouraged to insure your return shipments.
Blades are not returnable or refundable unless shipped in error by Crossed Swords Fencing Equipment.
The customer is responsible for shipping costs of exchanged items from Crossed Swords Fencing Equipment to the customer. Customers will be issued an online invoice for the shipping costs and items will only be shipped once the payment is received by us.
Items not accepted as returned items by Crossed Swords Fencing Equipment will be returned to the customer at the customers expense (shipping [full commercial cost] and packaging).
Refunds of $25 or more, will be made using the original purchase method of payment (Credit Card, Debit card) within four (4) weeks of the returned items being received by Crossed Swords Fencing Equipment.
Refunds of $24.99 or less, will be posted to the customers online account for use against future purchases within four (4) weeks of the returned items being received by Crossed Swords Fencing Equipment.
Custom items, including custom sized clothing, non-stock and special order items are not refundable.
If you need to return an item, please email Crossed Swords Fencing Equipment at sales@crossedswords.ca and we shall advise you of the process. Only return your item once you have received an RMA number from us. You will receive the RMA number and return shipping address at the same time. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
