All Members: Must wear appropriate clothing and gym footwear.
New to Fencing: Classes take you through the Yellow Instructional Level 1 programme.
To try fencing, we require you to have a one month membership $150. The fees for this can be deducted from the annual or session payment when you continue.
Returning Fencer: Choose the payment plan of your choice: Annual or Session
If you have all of your own gear (Mask, Jacket, 2x Body Cords, 2x Foil) check the box to get a discount
All Club members are REQUIRED to take out a Provincial membership and National License
You are required to purchase your Manitoba membership and CFF license http://fencing.ca/purchase-a-cff-licence/
You will select Phoenix as your club, but you will be listed as Manitoba Golden Blades nationally.

Phoenix club fees give access to the activities each evening. There are NO additional facility fees.
EQUIPMENT RENTAL / DEPOSIT: For those club members who need to use a club mask and / or a jacket, there is a fee of $50 to cover normal wear and tear and a refundable $200 deposit to cover loss or damage.
If you wish to fence on the electronic scoring systems, you must have your own Body Cords. Other equipment is available through the club.

All members MUST hold a Provincial membership and a current Canadian Fencing Federation (CFF) license.
Introductory programmes are class based.
Advanced: Personal lesson packs are available in sets of 5, 10 or 20 from the club coaches.
Semester 1: September - December.
Semester 2: January - May
Fees:
Annual fees are September 2025 - National Championships in May 2026.
Annual registration fees save you about 10% over the per semester fee.
All fees are non-refundable.
Monday (6-7pm): Beginner Foil Youth (14 & Under) - 10 week program $200 including equipment
Monday (6:30-9pm): Open Fencing
Wednesday & Thursday (7-9pm): Foil - Our programs are for mid-teen, through adult and veteran fencers.

I /we do hereby acknowledge that not unlike many other sports, participation in fencing may involve inherent physical risks. I /we understand that Phoenix Fencing Club, including all executive members, coaches, officials, athletes, volunteers and independent contractors take care and consideration to ensure that these risks are minimized during all club activities and programmes. I /we also acknowledge that my personal actions / behaviors may contribute to these risks and I accept responsibility to ensure my actions do not contribute to further risk of injury to myself or other participants.

All personal information supplied to the Phoenix Fencing Club or collected by the Phoenix Fencing Club shall be subsequently used or disclosed by the Phoenix Fencing Club pursuant to applicable Manitoba Legislation. The information will be used to assist with the organizing, planning and reporting of fencing activities. The data will be shared with the Manitoba Fencing Association (MFA) and the Canadian Fencing Federation (CFF), otherwise the information collected will not be sold to or shared with other parties.
